A 1650? review of the political situation in Barbados and plea to the British Commonwealth government to abstain from using force against the colony and to introduce measures to promote trade between the island and mother country. The essay was probably written in London following Parliament's Oct., 1650, enaction of punitive measures, possibly by George Martin or another supporter of Lord Willoughby's conciliatory policies.
